The New Buffalo Lions Club, chartered in 1942 is a service organization dedicated to serving the New Buffalo community and Lions International. The Lions Club objective is to take an active interest in the civic, social, and moral welfare of the community.

El Rancho Grande restaurant has been the meeting place for the New Buffalo Lions Club for the past several years, with owner Peter Bernal as a Lion.
